Sometimes due to some unprecedented situations, a flight gets missed. Once a flight is missed there are many factors that gets affected such as financial loss, time, the immediate travel planning etc. so missing a flight is something no one ever wants to experience. We always try our level best to reach at the airport departure gate at the last minute before it closes, and that moment is like living in a nightmare. 

Now another thought appears in your mind that what will happen to the amount that you have paid for your ticket… Will it get wasted? Will I have to pay the complete amount again for a ticket. Steps to be taken in case of missing an Emirates Flight.

There are few steps that needs to be taken in case of a missing an Emirates Flight. If you fail to follow the below points then you might end up losing your money and you may not be able to reach your destination soon. 

Contact- 

• At the Airport –If you have reached the airport but it got too late to complete the check-in process and end up reaching late at the departure gate. So, the foremost thing that needs to be done is contact the officials of Emirates present at the gate and inform about your presence. It is very important so that the Emirates officials do not mark you as “no show” passenger. Once if you are marked as no show then you cannot claim any facilities from Emirates even if you agree to pay the missed flight fee.
• Not at Airport– If you have failed to reach the airport in time then you just need to call the Emirates helpline number available in the official website of the airline and inform them about your situation so that they can inform the competent authority and you will not be marked as a no-show passenger. This step is very much important for you to follow in case of a missed flight.
• Re-booking- Once the authority has confirmed about you not being marked as no-show, then the next step is to visit the Emirates office or counter located at the airport. There you need to explain the situation and ask for the option of rebooking your flight. They will then search for the next possible flight available to your destination and give you the options to choose from. 
• Confirmation– Once you get the confirmation of the availability of seat in the next available Emirates flight to your destination, you will need to pay a flight change fee. Also, you will have to submit your original boarding pass and you will be given a new boarding pass for your new flight and then you will be allowed for boarding. 

Issue from Airlines- If your Emirates flight is missed due to delay in connection flight or any operational issues or any reasons from the airlines end, you will be rebooked on the next available flight of the Airlines without any additional charges. But do keep it in your mind that both the original and connection flight must be of Emirates or else Emirates will not be responsible for missing a flight due to delay in connection of a different airline.

Suggestions- 

• It is always suggested and useful to carry some extra amount in cash or other mode as you may anytime require it for emergency purpose such as if you have missed your flight, you will need to search for a place to spend the night if your next flight is scheduled the next day.
• In case the Emirates flight is missed due to your fault such as delay in arrival at the airport due to traffic or breakdown of the vehicle is not justified because you could not manage you time properly. So, you are required to pay booking fee if you want to fly on the next available flight of the Airlines but only oft seat is available.
